Can’t Pick Your Next Read?

Sometimes it feels impossible to choose your next read. There are so many stories to dive into. I admit to an intimidating list myself. I end up re-reading my favorite comfort reads in the end.

Are you stuck in a hole of books staring at you? If you’re looking for something new, here’s one to help you make your decision.

How long is your TBR list right now? Do you think you’ll ever finish it?

Minnie Cooper has always believed her New Year’s birthday is cursed—and it’s all because of Quinn Hamilton. He was the first baby born in London in 1990, snatching the cash prize that should’ve been hers. He even took the name her parents had picked out for her. Since then, every birthday has felt worse than the last.

But on their 30th birthdays, fate brings them face to face. Quinn is everything Minnie isn’t: a successful, charming business owner with a seemingly perfect life. Meanwhile, Minnie is struggling to keep her pie company—and her home—afloat.

Despite their differences, they keep crossing paths, and each encounter sparks something new. Sometimes, the people we’re meant to meet are the ones we least expect.

The Hook

I’ll be honest, I’m pretty skeptical about the “right person, wrong time” idea. It feels unfair to both parties. However, there is something compelling about connected histories. Here, timing may not be the enemy but the link and guide between them.

What makes you add a book to your TBR?

For me, it starts with a good blurb and a great cover. Tropes can definitely catch my attention, but it’s the blurb that really pulls me in and seals the deal.
